JAVELIN
Tiffany and Tim Logan
My husband is an avid AMC enthusiast. About 5 yrs ago he sold his javelin and amx to be able to take off work and attend schooling to become a lineman. He went to school for a yr and was hired #1 out of 250 applicants. After a 4yr apprenticeship, he has FINALLY reached his goal. Over the last 2 yrs he has searched for his next project car and found it a week ago. With my encouragement to "Put back what he gave-up" he bought a 1970 BBB Javelin (he could go on for days as to why this particular car). It doesn't look like much and (honestly) he didn't want me to register the car on your site yet, but since you're trying to find out "how many are left" I decided to (we won't tell him yet..lol). He verified the vin. and it is a Big Bad Blue (the inner door frames and the hood are still BBB) but the 304 was pulled and he has a 401 to put back in. Though he insists he's not gonna start the project until after we move into our new house at the end of the year , I see him standing out there every morning before work and know he'll start tinkering this weekend (he just got it home weds night 2-12-08). After knowing Tim for 10yrs and being married 16 mos. I have learned alot about AMC and have come to appreciate the cars myself. I'm putting my vote in to paint it back to Big Bad Blue when everything else is done (he's fond of Big Bad Orange). But I think she should be brought back to her original glory...plus I really like the color. I'll definitely send an update when the time comes (way....down...the...road...) but until then, here she is in Carson California.
